I am also excited about the Hellums Genealogy Page. I found a lot of the info you are referring to on the WFT Volume 5. The family ref # 3844. It shows Wm Wheelwright Hellums born in 1763 to John Hellums. It does not list a wife, but lists 3 children: John (b.1755),David (b.1758) & William (b.1763). It shows Wm married to Mary Box. They had 3 children:John (b.Feb 24,1782),Mary & Anna. It shows John married Margaret Pruet(July 4,1802) in Knox Co.,TN. It lists 14 children with names and dates. One of them is James P Hellums. (b. Mar 13,1822 in Tuscaloosa,Al & d.June 3, 1912 in McMahan,Caldwell Co.,TX) He was the eighth child. It does not go any further with his descendants. It does go on with the family tree of 3 of the other children.(Cynthia, 3rd child,Matilda,7th child & Peninnah,10th child).I am researching on William Hellums.I have a copy of a Land Grant issued in 1770 in Rayburns Creek, Laurens Co.,Old Ninety Six D,SC. I am really interested in James Hellums(one of his Descendants) born in 1801 and married to Elizabeth Green. She was born in 1806 in Ky. I beleive she was Cherokee. They had a son,William N.Hellums (my Great-Grandfather) who married Mary A. Waters Sept 20,1878 in Greene Co.,In. I have a lot of info I am willing to share, but have been missing a lot of links. Lets hope we can start putting some of this puzzle together. Ken Haag
