This is the first that I have found were the Hellums was Wilhem first. My great-grandmother was suppose to have been a distant relative of Czre Wilhem of Germany. The family left for there lives. That is the story that has been past down. But my Great-grandmother was born in Missouri and her parent were David Helms/Hellums b. 1815 Kentucky and Malissa Melvina Royal married June 27, 1841 Greene Co., Indiana.
