Yes, Alfred W. was my great-grandfather, Alfred J. is my grandfather, and Alfred V. is my father. And, yes, my dad did, indeed, teach physics at Milburn. So you are Dennis' daughter! My father just mentioned your father. I just got off the phone with my dad and grandfather. I was trying to get more info from them since I have no memory. Pop did mention that Dennis lives on, what was it?, Anna Marie Island? Or something like that. Pop also mentioned that Uncle Bert had a long list of Helmlinger ancestors. Do you know anything about that? Pop really couldn't remember much more -- his memory stops with Frederick. He said Frederick and his wife are buried at Roseland Cemetary in Orange, NJ and that Uncle Bert had found other family members' names on other headstones at the cemetary. (Pop also said that Frederick wore a long beard -- all the way down to his belly. Not much help, but an interesting tidbit.) Anyway, I have a call in to my Uncle Brian who may have more info. I will gladly pass along anything new I find.
