Thank you so very much! I wonder if it is the lineage they have (vol 27) which may be the continuation of vol 45. If that is the case the lineage may be able to be tracked back farther. I will get the trial and see.

I checked Joseph Helmuth's obituary over the phone with my dad. It turns out that Frederick Helmuth (b. Oct 03, 1794) actually did have a daughter named Fannie, rather than Veronica. It also had Joseph Helmuth (b.March 19, 1840) listed as Joseph J. Helmuth. My dad said they called him "JJ" same as his son Joseph J. (b. Oct. 22, 1871); However they never referred to the latter as "Jr."

After the dust settles, I will track everything to date from Joseph J. Helmuth (b. Oct.22, 1871) to the present. I was named after him.
