My mother was Rose Eickstedt, who was born in the Town of Granville 9/21/1889. She was the daughter of August and Wilhelmina (Sommerfeldt) Eickstedt and was raised in and around the Cedarburg area. There were many cousins, but I cannot remember a Viola. I image you've looked at the 1900 census for Ozaukee County. From what I've copied down, it appears that the only person who might match would be Malinda, the daughter of Fred Eickstadt (the spelling in the census). I still have a long way to go to figure out all the relationships, etc. When I come to Milwaukee the end of July, I'll ask my sister if she remembers a Viola Eickstedt and try to find this place in the computer again to let you know. We plan to go to Germanfest and hope that there might be something there in the way of a genealogy booth.
