Raymond,

My GGGrandfather, John L. Helwig, came to America in around 1861. His death record reads that he was from Prospect Prussia Germany. His wife was Caroline Lulu from Germany. She died in 1863, shortly after comming to America. They had 3 children, all born in Germany. John Theodore Helwig b. 6/1/1857, Minnie Helwig (Saulters) b.abt 1859, and Frank Helwig b.1/31/1860. John L. Helwig married again in 1864, a woman by the name of Caroline E. Jones in Athens County Ohio.

I have not done research on this family for a while and I am not sure where Prospect Prussia Germany is.

I am very interested if you can help me out in any way.

Hope to hear from you,

Karen Keeling
