My ancestor was Simon Helvig b. abt. 1834 in Hesse Cassel, Germany, m. Eliza Anna Gertrude Person, settled in PA. He had a brother John born abt. Dec. 20, 1820 m. Elizabeth ? and a sister Gertrude m. ? Brill. Simon came to America in 1850, John came in 1860 & it is believed Gertrude came with him. I go back one more generation. Let me know if you'd like more info. or what I've already tried & failed with.
