Hi Raymond,
Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Although I do not know the Religion of our Helwig family, I have never heard of them being Catholic. It is quite possible that the earlier family members might have been.
That would be an area for me to research though since the Catholic Church does have excellant records of their parrishoners.
