Sorry this seems a couple years late, but I find it strange that the two names Christoph Helwig and Henrich Helwig seem to be a pattern in the Helwig family! My great-great grandfather's name was Henry (Henrich or more commonly Heinrich) Helwig Born somewhere between 1841-1851 in Jamaica W.I, and his father's name was Christoph Helwig born 1818 or 1819 in Essen Germany. He emmigrated to Jamaica.
Please feel free to e-mail me! I'd love to get more info!

Karin
