I recently found a death cert. for Mary Elizabeth Helvey Honaker daughter of J.D Helvey and Virginia Bane/Bain. Then I found one for her brother William Helvey, his death cert had James David Helvey and Nancy Virginia Bane/Bain. They were both signed by Mrs Byrd. My husband said this Mrs Byrd is his Aunt Pansey daughter of Mary Elizabeth Helvey and James William Honaker. We are positive this is the right Helvey. William was a carpenter and blacksmith. Raymond said he was a blacksmith before we found the death cert. Does any one have info on this family. We are thrilled to connect her to the Helvey line.
