His father is Willard Peter Helwig b. 1928 Gary, Indiana
His father was Peter Helwig b. approx 1902 Schweischer Romania (transylvania saxons)who married Bertha Ruck from Minihofliebau, Austria immigrated to the U.S. to Toleston (Gary Ind)
Peter's brother was Andrew Helwig. Andrew was Peter's sponser for immigrating.
Their father was Johann Helwig.
