I have a Carlen Helwig listed on the Ship Elliott that arrived in Phila. 1749 from Rotterdam, taking oath 24 Aug 1749 in Phila.

Does anyone know where Carlen ventured once he landed in PA and/or where he was from in Germany?

The reason I ask is that I have a possible 6th ggrandfather, Jacob Kirch, listed on the ship as well and am trying to gather info. on the other passengers that might help me track Jacob.

Thank you for any information-greatly appreciated. Anne Cherry Rice
