Looking for info on Civil War veteran Dr. Theodore A. Helwig, who served as regimental surgeon of the 87th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry from April 20, 1864, after having served the same capacity for the 49th Pennsylvania Militia. The regiment mustered in York in September 1861. After the war, he lived in Minersville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
