I am tracing the ancestry of my wife's family whose grandfather Walter Dahm and Grandmother Leona Bertha Schneider were both born in Belleville, IL.
Leona and Walter ended up marrying in Belleville, but spent the balance of their life in Dayton OH where I reside now.
Leona was the only child of William Schneider and Elizabeth Hemmer who married on July 24, 1907. Elizabeth was one of at least two children of Joseph Hemmer and Helen Werner, Nicholas being the other.
If anyone has information on the Hemmer/Schneider/Werner families of Belleville, I would appreciate it.
