Here is the information I have on Elphalet Hendee, b. 1743.
Elphalet (or Eliphalate) Hendeeb. Apr 1743 Coventry, Tolland County, Connecticut, Americam. Mary Loomis "I have Eliphalet as being born in 1743 at Coventry Ct. His siblings were: Asa -(who dies young) b. Dec. 9 1739 d. 1740-41; Lydia- b. July 14, 1746; Eunice-b. Nov. 24, 1748; Mary - b. Jan. 14, 1751; Abner- b. May 22, 1753; Esther b. May 29, 1757; I have these records plus others descendents that we would love to share with you." [Sandra Van Zandt]"I am looking for the Hendee family of Andover, Ct. and Hebron... My direct line is Eliphalate Hendee born 1743 in Coventry, Ct. married Mary Loomis born Bolton, Ct.... Their son Leonard Hendee born 1788?" [John Miles] Mary: b. Bolton, Connecticut, New England

Elizabeth Johnson (?)"I do show that Eliphalet had a son named Abner, and I have a copy of an original letter from Abner (that I transcribed for easier reading) to Caleb Hendee, Jr. Caleb, Jr. mentioned Abner's letter in his lengthy and useful ms. "Elizabeth Johnson married Abner Hendee born June 1779. . . probably born in the Andover-Hebron, Connecticut area. . . he is buried in St. Peter Cemetery, Hebron, Connecticut" [Cynthia Henry] “Hendee, Abner — of Hebron, Tolland County, Conn. Member of Connecticut state senate 21st District, 1839-40.
