Mrs. Kate Henderson who was 91 on Monday Oct 2 was honored with a birthday party Sunday. Mrs. Henderson wasborn on Oct. 2 1859 at the Parish of Skivvereen, County Cork, Ireland. She was brought to this country at teh age of eight by her parents, the late Julia and DanDempsey. Thefamily first made their home with Mr and Mrs. Wm Suytar Sr. of the Ollvas Grant near Ventura. Young Katherine Henderson received her schooling at the convent in Santa Barbara. In 1877 she married the late William Henderson who caem to California from Baltimore Md., during the covered wagon days......Mrs. Henderson has one son William Henry Henderson and two daughters Mrs. Sarah Gray and Mrs. Warren (Susie) Jones. Mrs. Henderson has one brother James Dempsey and two sisters. Mrs. Minnie mcMichel and Mrs. Jane Baker. mr.
