Sherry,
Saw your post and was a little curious. I am searching for my unknown Wilson family that I think came into Walker Co GA from SC. I believe they were in Walker Co GA in 1850 and in DeKalb Co AL in 1860. Later, my "lost" great g-father, Abram/Abraham Wilson was found in Morgan Co AL on the 1870 census. "Abe" Wilson is the only ancestor that has been definitely identified in my family. He married into the Nesmith family from Morgan and Lawrence Co AL. The Nesmith family connected to the Woodall and Vest families from Jasper Co/Baldwin Co GA. There may even be a connection to Chattooga Co GA thru a marriage.

It seems that almost everywhere I've found Wilsons that I believe could be my ancestors, there are Henderson, Berry and Jones families around. I've often wondered if there was a connection. I think some of my Wilsons may have even been in Jackson Co AL in the mid to late 1800's. I also believe that there is a connection to a CROSBY or COSBY FAMILY from Jackson, Jefferson and Blount Counties of AL. It has been a frustrating search, to say the least.

My great gfather, Abe, disappeared in 1874 Morgan Co AL just before my grandfather was born. After my grandfather grew up, he moved his family to central Texas where we have lived ever since.

If you can connect to any of the surnames or locations above, please contact me and I will furnish more details about individual persons.
