I'm not sure if we have a connection or not. LeMars, Ia is close to Sioux City. Do you know of any of the brothers' name of her father?
John Henry Henke, August Henke, Bernard Anton Henke, Clements Henke came on the vessel "Bakr Clara" that left Bremen, Germany destined for Port of Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland and arriaved Dec 17, 1867 with 107 passengers.
These 4 brothers were born in or near Oldenburg, Germany to Christopher and Margaretha Henke. Christopher and Margaretha were farmers and owned 40 arces of land. TWO BROTHERS REMAINED IN GERMANY.
The four brothers took adjoining homesteads near LeMars, IA n the early 1960's.
