I don't know if they were ever in Kansas. I do know that August Henke arrived in America in April of 1906, and that he and Emma Bott had a son in Denver in 1912, but not where August might have been before coming to Denver. As to his relatives, I have no idea who was here before him. That's what I've been trying to find out. He'd been 17 years old less than a month before arriving in America.
