Thank you for your reply. I have changed my e-mail address to mtb75@juno.com, therefore I did not receive notification of this post of yours. Your information may be a lucky break for us, and I am very interested. About the same time I saw this post, I met a HENKE researcher who is on the board of directors of the Arizona State Genealogical Society. She knows who her immigrant HENKE ancestor is, but I do not. Documents show that my great-great- grandfather John Bernard Henke (wife was Thecla Dierckes) was born in Germany, but I have no idea where. He would have been born in the early 1800s, is my guess. He eventually moved to Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama, and died there. I will e-mail you off site. Again, thank you very much for your offer of help!
