I have many Henke in my pedigree going back to @1600 in Saxony. The old church parish records in the last two hundred years finish in Henke, but then vary to Hencke, Hennicke, Henigk Heinke, Heinik, Heinicken and Heinickens all the way back.
Anybody know about Holland Heineken beer. Is that the origin?
