You might want to try looking into the Dodge and Fond du Lac County areas north of Milwaukee. Lots of Henning families. Henning is a "Prussian" name. It can be located in the northern areas of Modern Germany and as far east as Russia. When Prussia was divided at the time of the first world war, the area went as far south east as the modern Cech republic and into Poland. Hennings also were from the Hannover and Branndenburg areas and traveled as house servants and person guards with many princes that married into royal families all over Europe. Many came over into the Wisconsin area in the 1880's. Also check with the Milwaukee area German orgainizations.
