Pauline Henning Weds Navy Man
Mr & Mrs Paul Henning of Delavan, WI announce the marriage of their daughter Pauline to Chief Machinist Mate, Hobart Alton Albee of Providence, Rhode Island. The wedding took place in Astoria, Oregon, June 7, 1944 at 7:30 p.m. aboard the U.S.S. Bismark Sea, CVE 95. The ceremony was performed by the ship's captain, LT. Shannon.
The bride wore navy blue with white accessories. The couple were attended by Miss Rae Stehr of Astoria, Oregon, and Chief Gunner's mate Hutton Attey of the same ship. Miss Stehr wore aqua and red. The flowers were white sweet peas and red roses. The wedding dinner was served aboard ship in the Chief's quarters.
Forty chiefs and their wives attended the wedding. After the dinner, music and dancing was enjoyed by the entire crew on the hangar deck.
The bride has lived the past six years in Milwaukee, WI and has been a night club singer for the past ten years. The groom has been in the service since Oct 13, 1934.
