The Iona Journal 10/22/1915 "Happily Married Tuesday -- A ceremony of rare occurance was performed Tuesday morning at 8:15 o'clock at St. Columba's church in this village. Not often does it happen that at the same ceremony two couples are united in the bond of marriage. On this occassion it was the two daughters of Albert Schoo, living on the ______ farm south of Iona.
Ann Angela Schoo became the bride of Nicolas Donlinger and Ida School the bride of John Henning, of Wilmont.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. Schneider. After the marriage Nuptial High Mass was celebrated. After the ceremony at the church wedding festivities were held during the day at the home of the brides' brother.
Both brides have lived in this country for some time, having emigrated to this country with their parents from Germany. They are both young ladies who will make a home for their chosen life companions.
Nicolas Donlinger is a young man who came to this country from Luxemburg three years ago and no doubt will make good in the land of his adoption.
John Henning, the other groom is not known to us farther than that he is a carpenter at Wilmont.
The attendants at the marriage were as follows: for Mr. Dohlinger, Henry Schoo acted as best man and Josephine Schoo was bridesmaid, for her sister, Anna. William Henning, as brother was best man for John Henning and Edith Schoo, of Ashton, Ia., cousin was bridesmaid for Iva Schoo. Here is hoping that borth couples will have a happy journey thru life and the Journal extends best wishes to both." NOTE: Article "Iva" "Ida" - not a typo.
