Hi, I have some information for you! My neighbor is the niece of Ludwig Henning. Her name is Margaret, and she is 87 and lives in Haddonfield, NJ. Her father was Ludwig's younger brother, his name was Herman Henning, and he was born in 1884 and died in 1971. She remembers very well her first cousins Olga and Grace. They were identical twins, and Olga went into Art and Grace went into Voice - she thinks both attended Beaver College. They were always laughing, full of life, and loved to socialize. They spent many weekends at her home. Curtis was their older brother and my neighbor said she didn't see him as much and didn't remember his family. I am trying to piece together information about Ludwig and Herman's parents, and would love to know any information you have found out about them. Their mother died giving birth to Herman. They did live in Johnstown during the time of the flood, and their aunt and uncle (Henning) died, along with other relatives. She said they always referred to their family home as the "homestead". Herman moved to Philadelphia, which is where my neighbor was born and raised. He was a cellist and later a businessman, but my neighbor said the family always loved music. She doesn't know anything about her grandmother, Ludwig and Herman's mother, who died giving birth to Herman, and she doesn't know her Grandfather's first name. I'm going to try and find out what I can for her. If you have any photos, questions, or more information I'd love to share them with her. Thanks :-) Jean D'Ascenzo, Haddonfield NJ
