John Henning b. 1831 Pennsylvania

I am looking for any information re: John Henning, born 1831 in Pennsylvania. I can find no record of him until the 1870 census, when he was living in Bernville in Longswamp Township PA with occupation as landlord of a hotel. At that time he was married to Esther and had two daughters: Annie 14 and Eliza 6.

In the 1880 census he is living in the same area, although apparently not at the hotel, and his occupation is listed as supt. of mines; he is living with his daughter Eliza/Lizzie, now 15. His wife Esther did not die until 1889, but she is not listed as living with him.

I have found only one other reference to John Henning, an article in the Reading Eagle in 1896 re: the selling of some property in Topton PA, also in Longswamp Township.

If anyone knows any additional information about John Henning and/or his family, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.
