Lina Henry was apparently never married. A YDNA on a male Henry descendant of Marshall Henry show the father to be a Job or Jobe.Lina herself descends from John Henry, the Revolutionary War soldier who came from Botetourt Co. VA to Cocke Co.TN. She was a Henry.
Some of her immediate Henrys and some of her close cousins went to Cole Co. Missouri in the 1830s and 1840s and some returned to Cocke Co.TN in 1850. Some of the Job's from Cocke Co. went there and lived near them also in Missouri.
Revolutionary War soldier William Henry of Botetourt, brother of your John Henry, settled in Jones Cove, Sevier Co. TN. Some of William's family went to Cole Co. and his son John Henry was back in Sevier Co. in 1850. Marhsall Henry's father appears to have been a Jobe. As Lina descends from John Henry and his wife Rosanna Jarrott she was not part Indian. As Marshall descends from a Jobe, he was not part Indian either. This is just a family legend. Almost allof us have similar legends, especially on any lines that involve children born out-of-wedlock.
The Marshall Henry male descendant matches 66/67 markers with a descendant of with two different male Jobe men. That is an 87% chance of having a common ancesor is 6 generations back and that works out just right.
MarshallHenry's haplogroup is R1b1a2, the most common European haplogroup in the British Isles.
