Are all those sources you listed online, and free? Again, thanks very very much. That information connects a lot of loose ends that I had, and fits in nicely with what I knew.
This is what my great-grandmother told me about Edward and Ann: After Edward died, Ann had to sell the shop because the men they had employed would not work for a woman. She took in sewing, but financially she struggled, so she accepted Goorge Dogdson's offer of marriage. Ann went on to have 10 kids in less than 10 years, and then she died (about 1899, age 40ish), leaving my great-great grandmother Edith to help raise her siblings.
