Dear Chris Herb,
In order for any of us to help you with your family, it is necessary for you to at least give your father's name, dates, birthplace, etc., and also your grandfather's same data. Many Herb family members migrated to Maryland, Ohio, and other parts of the country. Most Herb's were farmers and usually settled in valleys with land and plenty of water. Most Herb ancestors came from the Palintine area of Germany.
I have done Herb family research now for over 25 years and have several thousand family members on computer.
If I can be of any help, don't hesitate to conatct me. Remember it is very important for you to start asking your living relatives for information and start writing it down so you don't forget. Sometimes the best leads you ever get are from an old aunt or uncle that seems to remember everthing.
GOOD LUCK !!

Donald N. Herb
Allentown, Pennsylvania
