Karen:

I've also had some questions on this William. I believe the father is J. Daniel Herb. I've wondered if
William, since he died during the Civil War, might have been in it? There was a Daniel K. Herb
in Co K, 50th PA. If it's him, those records might help.

I have that in Floyd's History of Northumberland, pg 567, it mentions Lewis K Yoder married
Sarah Herb, d/o William and Catharine (Kehler) Herb.

Note that the 1860 census has a Susan Koehler, living with William's family. (a relative of the wife's?)

Still, I've seen the name Bolich also show up. I've wondered if maybe William was married twice,
once to a Catharine Kehler (1833-1858?) and later to Catharine Bolich (1836-1878?). The latter
would be the Catharine, buried at Zion Evangelical in Pitman.

There's a baptism at St. Pauls for a child of William, Catharine, in 1857, sponsors Johan and Katharine Wetzel

Sorry, I don't have the answer to this one, just more questions...

Tim
