Candy, two weeks ago I spoke with John C. Hergert who lives in Seminole, FL. I have his address as 111144 52nd Ave. N.,
St. Petersburg 33708. I served under him in the Marine Corps. He was a Captain at the time, and he retired as a Lt. Col. He is what Marines call a Mustang. He started his military career as an enlisted man. He has survived a stroke, is very coherent, and he is an intelligent prince of a man. He must be in his 80's now. He does not have a computer, nor will he. I am answering your query because when I talked to him last, he told me that his family was from the 1600's German lineage. He married Dorothy Culver
whose family came from England, as did mine. I have a phone number for him, and I am sure that he would be happy to speak to you about his family. Merry Christmas and Happy
New Year.
