I sent a copy of Part VI to the publisher of the "Virginia Genealogist" and he commented that their was not any objective proof that the marriage did occur. John Goodwin Herndon in "The Herndon Family of Virginia" did not fully acknowledge the marriage, he only reported what was given to him by John Waterhouse Herndon, who had talked or written to Moncure (sp), who had seen some record, but with his wife's death could not find the information where he had recorded the data.
I do have a copy of the comments by Dorman, the publisher of the "Virginia Genealogies" some place. And as I said we do not have OBJECTIVE PROOF of the mariage.
Blessings, Dudley Herndon.
