Renee:
Lloyal Alonzo was born after the 1885 Herrick book was published and he is not on my database. I checked all of the Alonzos on the database for a son named Lloyal or Alonzo to no avail.
I suggest that you look first at the 1920 census for NY state and see if there any others of the name of Herrick nearby that could be old enough to be his parents.
If not there then go to the 1910 & 1900 census records where Lloyal would be a child listed under the householder, hopefully his father. That should give you a lead to his ancestry and maybe then I can help you connect to his ancestry.
I do not know where you live, but if it is in eastern NY State look to Albany for a library that has the NY census records. If you are not close to such a library then try a Family History Center at an LDS Church near you. If they do not have the right census records they can be rented from the FHL in Salt Lake City for a small fee of under $5.00 for 30 days to view at the FHC.
In lieu of that you can try Family Tree Maker at www.familytreemaker.com/ for their family finder index.
And the LDS site at www.familysearch.org/ is a good site too.
But remember what you may find there must be verified and considered as a place to begin researsch from. Neither organization guarantees what you may see is correct and factual.
Witness an FTM WFT with a woman marrying at age 49, having 12 children by the time she was 78 years old and her husband was 101 years old when child #12 was born. Not possible. That contributor used assumed as born about dates that were at least 30 years too soon for the mother and 40 to 50 years too soon for the father.
