Here is my transcription of the translation of the will of Henry Hershberger. The translation was one that was done at the time of Henry's death, and is entered in the Shenandoah County, VA Will Book B-438a and B-438b. I have a photocopy of the will as it was written in German, but I don't read German. I took it to a native speaker of German to clarify the Christian/Christina question. She said that the will is written in an unusual dialect. One possibility is that the Hershbergers were Swiss. Of course, the English written in 1788 sounds strange now, too.
Words with * before them indicate that the spelling is as it appears in the translation.
