I am searching for ancestors of D. L. Dietrich Herzberg. He was born 18 Feb 1813 in Hoyaerhagen, near Martfeld, Germany (Prussia). He died 24 Sept 1887, near Clarinda,Iowa.

He married an Elizabeth Alwine (1817-1887) and they had 5 children: Albert (1845-1882), Herman (1847-1928), John H. (1854-1927), R. H. (Dick) (1860-1913), and Elizabeth (no dates).

They lived near Chicago for a few years after coming to the US in 1867, but eventually moved to Clarinda, Page County, Iowa where they spent the rest of their lives.
