Arms of Hesketh of Rufford
I am a living-history re-enactor living in "olde" Jersey, C.I.,U.K.
I see from a posting on this List dated 2002 that Paul Hesketh was asking for a picture of the Arms of Hesketh of Rufford. I cannot find from the subsequent postings if anyone answered him.
For those of you who don't know the blazon of these Arms, it is - in plain English - "on a silver field, a black bend, charged with three golden sheaves of corn".
However, while I have the blazon, - and a very small picture by screen-capture from a commercial "family heraldry" website, that image is too small to be of any use to me to enlarge for re-creating a medieval Shield carrying the Hesketh Arms.
So if anyone one this List can e-mail me a good image of the Arms, as a jpeg file of around 500k in size - I would be very grateful.
I hope that somone on this List will be able to provide a medium-sized jpeg-file coloured image to assist me in this project.
