Loved your story - this is fun stuff and agreed the out of the way places are by far the best spots to visit and if you are lucky enough to have ancestors who live in these areas, the only way to find out the background stories is to make yourself known to the locals. Some of our best weekends have been visiting small towns and talking to the elders in the town - they still carry so much history with them, it will be a shame when they pass on. Still trying to make a connection to the US Heslins. Keep up the good stories.
