Hello Jim,
Some questions for you. My Great Grand Father Patrick (b. 1874)appears in Glasgow Early 1890. Married Mary Ann Sharp 1894 in Glasgow. On Patrick's Death Certificate (Glasgow 1924)it states father as John (farmer), Mother as Elizabeth (Nee possibly also Heslin. This may only be Heslin because my great grand mother didnt know her mother in laws maiden name-unsure). Can't be certain where Patrick originated. You mention quite a lot about Linlithgow cant seem to get a connection to There although it is only 30 miles away. There was a Patrick born Linlithgow 1873 which ties in But there is a Patrick Dies 1881 aged 8 probably the same person. There are Heslins in the 1891 Cencus (Scotland) from Camlachie which is only 1 mile from where my family appear. The camlachie Heslins are Bernard age 36 and Mary age 26. Did My Great grand father come to glasgow to stay with Bernard or Mary Where he meets Mary Ann Sharp within a mile of Camlachie and marries her in 1894. Where do Bernard and Mary originate. Will source a copy of Patrick and Mary Ann's Wedding Certificate later this week to see if there are any clue's in who there witnesses where. Do you have any connections from Linlithgow to Glasgow. Any Links would be greatly appreciated.
