my g-grandfather patrick heslin wrote that he was born in cappagh(?sp.) co westmeath in 1840. he says that he had 4 sisters, mary, bridget, ann, and honora. patrick would have been the youngest. patrick's parents were thomas and elizabeth (campbell).
patrick came to the u.s. in 1860, to n.y.c.
he started his family, marrying ellen kelly of ballyshannon, co donegal. they had 2 children and raised them in lowell MA. patrick died in n.y.c. in 1901. they may be cousins to your heslin.
thomas heslin had a brother john, and 4 sisters, bridget, frances, ann and rose.
