Hi Patrick
I saw you message to Anthony, and thought I'd reply.
Anthony's Patrick Heslin was b. 1848/9, his brother, and my gr.grandfather, Thomas was born 1843. A third brother John, was born in Longford on Oct., 23, 1850.
Since my Thomas was born just prior to the famine, he survived. Few children were born between 1847-9, and ever fewer than those who were born survived.
Does this look promising? Any Thomas' in your line? Other common names are Rosanna, Aloyusius, Margaret, Catherine, James, Charles.
