we have a geo.heyd from alsace, he learnt the shoemaking trade; then came over to america; went to ohio, married and hen moved to michigan, and died there. he had i believe eight children. He cameover in the 1800's I have will over 700 heyd names; birthdate or some kind of info on each. I have been serching this family for 22 years(off and On) now. What I can tell you from my reserch is some of the stories. if any one is interested you can contactme at the following address also I like to exchange family names.
