A couple small points of clarification, thanks to Manfred who saw my query on the German/Prussia Genforum. Roppershein is most likely ROPPERSHAIN in Kassel,Hessen and Hamburg is probably HOMBERG, a town very close to Roppershain. If these 2 bits jog anyone's memory, I'd much appreciate response. The German phone book is on line and there are several Heynes in both of these places, which I will contact in the near future.
