I'm helping my half-brother research his grandmother's line and help his aunt find more info. on their Nahooikaika-Kahaulelio line.
They are descendants of Obed NAHOOIKAIKA, b. circa 1880 and Aimee (or Emily?) KAHAULELIO b. circa 1886, married circa 1903, and are from Olowalu, Lahaina.
Their children that I've found so far, Bethsheba (1908), Obed (1912-1949), Wayne E. (1922-1997) and Edith who is my brother's grandmother. It was Edith and her husband Eligio REYES that left Lahaina.
I've found on the net info. on Obed's parents and Aimee's parents and a few of their siblings. I just had to verify that Obed had only one wife and that her name was Aimee, not Emily Makalapua KAHAULELIO as the name that was given to me. I'm guessing that "Emily" may have been a mistake.
The REYES family would like to have their own Nahooikaika-Kahaulelio family reunion in the future, which means they are looking for descendants of Obed & Aimee. Looking to see if anyone has info. on those 2, their children, etc.
