Thanks for all of your help. Hanna (Nana) had a child, Emma, fathered by a Veary. He died prior to the birth of Emma and I am unsure if they were ever married. Hanna was brought up by her "Elders" and later she herself became a well respected elder, steadfastly clinging onto much of the old Hawaiian customs;language, parables, nature and poetry. She studied religion and metaphysics all of her life and published a book which I will be receiving soon. I ran across her name while looking up an uncle of mine, Father Damien (James) Veary who was born in Massachusetts around 1917. He had chosen the religious order name of Damien, after Father Damien of the Lepers. Needless to say, when I decided to look up the original Father Damien and the name Veary came up I was very much surprised. I think that Veary line is from Australia, Father Veary's line is from England.
