There were several HIBBARD marriages in Hancock County, Illinois, but the one that interests me most was that of Lydia Ann Hibard m. Abram Carlyle in Hancock County, Illinois on 28 Mar 1840.
She might have been the daughter of Davidson Hibbard and Sarah Telton/Tilton who settled there very early - perhaps before 1830. Davidson was b. ca 1788 in either New Hampshire or Vermont (depending upon which 'record' you are looking at) and Sarah was born ca 1792 in Vermont.
Can anyone tell me what happened to Lydia after her marriage to Abram? I have found both Hibbards and Carlisles in Hancock County after their 1840 marriage, but no Abram nor Lydia.
