Peter Hiebert Jan 6,1876-Oct 21,1921
Peter Hiebert married Elizabeth Enns (Klassen) (Elizabeth's 1st husband Jacob Enns was killed by lightning in 1880)in around 1882.
Anna had 2 children from before, and they went on to have 9 more children, Helen, Elizabeth, Peter, Marie, Lydia, Martha(my Grandmother) Phillip, and John. They live at Gretna Manitoba and then to Salem Oregon around 1889 and back to Manitoba around 1900, living at Lowe Farm.Peter was quite involved with the Mennonite Brethern Church. Around 1902 they moved to Chaplin Sask, where Peter served as minister to the local Swedenborg Congregation, having given up his Brethen Church faith.
Peter's parents were Johann and Helena(Toews) Hiebert. They and their children Helena, Peter(my Great Grandfather), Abram, Johan, Philip, Aganeta, Cornelius, Katarina, Anna, Julius, Jacob, and Maria all came to Canada on the SS Sardinian #39 with 509 other Mennonite Passengers on July 30, 1876 coming from Bergthal colony South Russia.
Any other information is greatly appreciated, most of my info came from a Family History Book called 'They Story of Johan and Helena (Toews) Hiebert and Descendents'
