Once again I spoke a little too soon. There were apparently at least three different villages by the name of Schönsee in Prussia, two in the general vicinity of Elbing (now Elblag, Poland), and one further south, across the Vistula River from the Przechowko area. The Schönsee, West Prussia our ancestors presumably came from is now known as Jeziernik, Poland, which is about three miles from Lubieszewo, Poland, formerly Ladekopp, West Prussia. These are located about mid-way between Gdansk, Poland (Danzig) and Elblag (Elbing).
