No thats not the book; several years ago I saw a book about pioneer families of Manitoba; in it there was a footnote about a familys ancestors in which it stated that David hibert was the son of jacob of Lackenwald... i do not recall the title of this book, since it did not pertain to my line of Hieberts...
But in the OstDeutsche Familienkunde heft 2/1990 on pages 198 thru 200, there is an article titled Mennonitengeburten 1759-1781 am Tiegenort/Westpreussen..
by adalbert Goertz. Best as I can tell, it lists Mennonite births recorded in the Lutheran church records of Tiegenort ... Jacob Hiebert of Lackenwald is mentioned twice
1 May 1772 Jacob Hubert in Laakenwalde had a son Jacob born
5 aug 1773 Jacob Hiebert in Laakenwalde had a son named David born...
