Hi,

As I also want to start a genealogy research about my tiny family (according to us, me and my father are the only Hiers living in France), I am very interested by your message.
Our grand'pa, Robert, always told us that our family came from either Belgium or Netherlands before going to Alsace, France. Then, they've escape from the German occupation during the 1870 war between France and Germany.
I also know, that there is a belgium guy, named Jacques Hiers, who lived in Paris about ten years ago.

Anyway, I would be pleased to share some information.

Take care,

Pierre-Edouard
