If there is anyone who would like to inquire about a copy of the Hiers genealogy book I suggest you contact the Bamberg, SC county library. The book was published around the early 1970's, but I am not sure just how many copies were printed. No doubt the library would have at least one copy as a reference and may be able to put you in contact with someone who has a copy in the Bamberg area.
Most of the original Hyer family who came through Charleston settled in an area outside of Bamberg - Colston, SC.
